Juan Alberto Medina, Sr., 66, of Evans, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 1, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Nabor Medina and Louisa Gallegos.

Juan was raised in Cheyenne. He moved to Greeley when he was 18. He worked as an auto mechanic and also for Greeley Tree Service. In 1976, he moved to Denver where he worked for George Knowler Gas Station as a mechanic.

Juan and Mary (Lujan) Medina were together for the past 48 years. In 2004, they moved back to Greeley...

Juan Alberto Medina, Sr., 66, of Evans, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 1, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Nabor Medina and Louisa Gallegos.

Juan was raised in Cheyenne. He moved to Greeley when he was 18. He worked as an auto mechanic and also for Greeley Tree Service. In 1976, he moved to Denver where he worked for George Knowler Gas Station as a mechanic.

Juan and Mary (Lujan) Medina were together for the past 48 years. In 2004, they moved back to Greeley and Juan worked at Major Auto as a mechanic. They moved to Evans in 2008. Juan retired completely in 2009.

Juan was always a very caring man. He was generous and would help anyone who needed it. He loved to joke with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping and eating sandwiches and snacks. He enjoyed having company and visiting with them. He loved his sons-in-law and daughter-in-law as if they were his own children. Above all was his love for his family.

Juan is survived by his wife, Mary; five daughters, Teresa (Antonio) Lujan of Pueblo, Hope Medina (boyfriend, Chris Garcia) of Evans, Stacy Medina (Rufino) of Denver, Elyse (Alex) Trujillo of Evans and Elizabeth Birse of Denver; daughter-in-law, Tasiah Garza of Ft. Collins; five sisters, Mary (Fiñe) Herrera of Denver, Bina Lopez, Pauline Medina and Dora Medina all of Greeley and Grace Medina of Ft. Morgan; four brothers, Nabor Medina, Jr. of Canon City, Bobby Medina of Torrington, Wyoming and Ben Medina and Michael Medina both of Greeley; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Medina, two sons, Juan Medina, Jr. and Gregg Medina, sister, Elouise Medina and three brothers, Jerry Medina, Toby "Nick" Medina and Joe Medina.

Rosary will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2016 followed by memorial service both at Stoddard Funeral Home.
