Albert T. Hays, Jr., 84, of Greeley, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1933 in Riverton, Wyoming to Albert T. Sr. and Allene Hays.

Al was raised in Wyoming. He served as a radar repairman and staff/sergeant in the Air Force for four years, of which two years was in Japan. After his service, he reentered the University of Wyoming, earning is Accounting degree in 1960. In May 1960, he married Judy Lawson and started his accounting career, which lasted for over 40 years....

Al was raised in Wyoming. He served as a radar repairman and staff/sergeant in the Air Force for four years, of which two years was in Japan. After his service, he reentered the University of Wyoming, earning is Accounting degree in 1960. In May 1960, he married Judy Lawson and started his accounting career, which lasted for over 40 years. His career was in public and private accounting and the last 20 years were as the finance director for City governments in Colorado and Wyoming. Al received several awards in financial reporting for governmental entities. He retired in 2002.

Al is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Vickie Rayburn (Chris) and Sue Hays (Harold Geddings); son, Robert Hays; daughter-in-law, Jayne Hays; sisters, Ann Blumenshine; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Hays and brother-in-law, Ray.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver.
